Hospice
Hospice photography is a way to gently capture the meaningful moments we share with loved ones as they near the end of life. It’s never easy — saying goodbye is one of the hardest things we do — but it’s also a part of life that deserves to be seen, honored, and remembered. These photos become treasures, helping us hold onto the love and connection long after someone is gone.
I chose to pursue hospice photography after dealing with the death of my parents.
After losing our mom suddenly, my sister and I found ourselves navigating a really emotional time while caring for our dad during his illness. As his health declined, we were faced with some really tough decisions. One of the hardest was choosing to move him into palliative care. It broke our hearts, but deep down we knew it was the best choice for him. Thankfully, the team that cared for him was truly amazing. They made sure he was comfortable, treated him with dignity, and supported us every step of the way with genuine kindness and compassion.
If you chose to have a photographer capture these moments, remember…
